Head of Projects for Healthwatch Oxfordshire
£35,000 per annum (full time)
This is a new post, and it is absolutely critical to our success. You will lead development and delivery of all the work we undertake to ensure we are listening effectively to what patients and the public think about local health and social care services, and for ensuring we use that information effectively to bring about change. You will also deputise for the Chief Executive.
The Head of Projects will manage a budget which includes a £30k grant fund through which we fund projects that give a voice to the least seldom heard members of our community about their care. This year we have worked with Asian Women, students, the deaf community, young people with complex mental health needs and adults with learning disabilities , and we are about to start work with mental health services users and people affected by child sexual exploitation. You will build on this work and will also design and deliver large scale projects using our powers to enter and view services – see the priorities section of the website for more information. You will line manage two part time Community Involvement Officers and a team of volunteers.
Community Involvement Officer (Organisations) for Healthwatch Oxfordshire
£26,800 per annum pro rata (part-time)
This post will double our Community Involvement Officer capacity. With a staff team of just 6 and a population to listen to of just over 650,000 people, we need to work really closely with and through other local organisations to be really effective. The Community Involvement Officer (Organisations) will ensure that HWO builds great relationships with other organisations and groups in the county, and that we have access to the information these organisations are gathering about the experiences of health and social care users in Oxfordshire. You will design and deliver several workshop events a year with and for our voluntary sector partners, manage an annual event designed to gather the views and experiences of social care users, build effective relationships with 6 existing CCG patient and stakeholder forums , manage and support some of our volunteers and analyse and report on the issues revealed by your work . You will work closely with the Community Involvement Officer (Public) and report to our new Head of Projects.
